Learners transferring from another secondary school may be considered for admission subject to academic performance, available vacancies, previous school records, discipline record, reason for transfer, recommendation from previous school, interview where necessary, and appropriate class placement.

Transfer applicants may be required to provide previous school report, examination results, transfer documentation, recommendation letter, parent/guardian information, passport photograph, and other relevant school records.

Academic performance shall not be the sole basis for admission. The school shall consider discipline, respect for teachers and fellow learners, attendance history, behaviour, leadership potential, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and commitment to school rules.

Applicants with serious unresolved disciplinary issues may be denied admission or subjected to additional assessment.

Parents and guardians are expected to provide accurate information during application, support regular school attendance, provide required scholastic materials, support the learner's academic development, maintain communication with the school, respect school policies, meet approved school fees and other obligations within the stipulated timelines, and participate in parent-school engagement programmes.

The school may offer appropriate placement according to available facilities. Applicants shall indicate their preferred arrangement: Day or Boarding. Boarding admission shall be subject to availability of boarding space, school boarding requirements, medical and welfare considerations, parent/guardian commitment, and compliance with boarding regulations.

The school may interview selected applicants where necessary. The interview may consider academic goals, career aspirations, learner's interests, previous school experience, character, communication skills, motivation, parent/guardian expectations, and learner's readiness for the selected programme.

The school reserves the right to verify PLE results, UCE results, previous school records, certificates, recommendations, personal information, and other submitted documentation. False, altered or misleading information may result in cancellation of an application or admission.

Admission shall be subject to available space and the school's capacity to provide quality education. The school shall maintain appropriate class sizes in order to protect quality teaching, individual learner attention, discipline, academic performance, laboratory access, ICT access, boarding standards, and student welfare.

St. Mark's Secondary School Naminya shall not only admit learners based on their current grades. The school shall actively identify learners with high academic potential and provide appropriate support to help them improve.

Academic support may include remedial lessons, academic clinics, mentorship, study programmes, career guidance, ICT-supported learning, subject-based interventions, academic monitoring, and parent engagement.
